NIATEL - About Us
The "NIATEL" Gallery was founded in 2010, thanks to the intention and determination of Eraldo Tempia Valenta (Parsifal), an esteemed art collector who has been passionate about the Selfic painting of Oberto Airaudi for more than 25 years.
Friends and supporters of the artist, Eraldo Tempia Valenta and Giuseppe Bertasso, organized the first exhibition of Selfic paintings in June of 1985 at La Bussola, a prestigious art gallery in Turin, Italy.
In 1992, Parsifal set up a permanent exhibition at the Rama Gallery, which was located in Baldissero Canavese, Italy at the time.
In September 2004, the artworks were transferred and exhibited in the current hall, which is considered the most suitable for hosting the vast collection of works by the artist.
Today in the NIATEL Gallery, you may admire some of the most significant paintings of Oberto Airaudi, which is a small portion with respect to the patrimony that has been created of his Selfica painting. The works that are exhibited have been created at different moments in time, from 1985 to the present, with many diverse and innovative techniques.
A motorized lighting system allows each single work to reveal many different paintings within the same canvas, as the painting responds to a diversity of light frequencies, showing different compositions and meanings depending on the color of the light that illuminates it. In fact, every painting can be viewed in natural light, various colored lights, blacklight, and also in the absence of light.
The NIATEL Gallery is located at Via Baldissero 21 in Vidracco (TO), Italy in the arts and wellness center Damanhur Crea.
